Take A Kid Fishing For The Fourth of July Weekend

Fireworks display at the 2008 Independence Day...This Fourth of July provides great opportunities to take a kid fishing. When you head out the door to set up to see the big fireworks show, don't forget to throw a few poles in the trunk! You probably sit around waiting for the fireworks show for hours in order to get a good view. Take this opportunity to take a kid fishing. Many shows are right over the water! Kids love to fish and providing them with a few hours is plenty. What a better way to keep them busy, as you wait. Make sure you take plenty of water, and bait! Wear hats and sunscreen. Remember- inbetween catching fish- explain  Independance Day to them and what it means to you and your family. If your wondering on a great destination for this 4th of July, I recommend Truman Lake in Missouri- Great fishing and plenty to do! Grand Lake, Colorado is another great choice! Both areas provide fireworks right over the water! I do suggest getting there early. Also, check with your State and National Parks. As a final point- no matter what your plans for this holiday, creating good lasting memories is the most important!
